Hello again all, thanks in advance.

So let's say I get my first every turkey (I'm the total newb, never hunted before). I need to learn how to field dress the 'ol Tom, right?

Anyone have a good link to a video that would show me the ropes? I've carved my share of Butterballs before, but the feathers and guts were already removed for me :p

    Thanks again everyone!

I got no links and I dont know if its even legal.....But everyone I know de-breasts turkey just like you would a grouse... I dont know too many people who pluck them. But if you plan on de-breasting the turkey just cut the skin away on the center of the breast bone and then skin back. follow the bones on each breast to cut yourself the breast fillet. I guess you can skin off the wings and legs as well and then you dont actually have to gut the smelly thing.. As far as cooking it goes.. I heard deep fried strips.

I just don't do anything in the field, once i get it tagged in I skin it and just cut a hole in the lower portion on it and rip every thing out.
