Finally got the fence up around the footplot. 1000' of plastic snow fence 8' high. I can't trust the deer to not destroy the peas and radishes as they grow, I will have to mow the clover but the plot will be lush when I hunt in a couple of months.

Why wouldn't you use an electric fence?

The cost of the fence was cheaper to buy than a solar electric fencer

The brush and woods around the plot outside of the fence is thick enough that jumping it would be pretty tough

I have seen a deer clear a 7 foot fence with my own two eyes and it looked effortless. It was a huge buck chasing a hot doe though, the doe went through the fence and he wen't over.

He was jumping for love, he might not be so willing for clover. Hope it works for you. I bet it will help that the snow fence is hard to see through, they may not like to jump where they can't see the landing.

The question isn't if deer can (because they can) get in, the question is will it deter them to want to enough which I would bet it will for the most part if not always.

Well I walked up to feed and saw 2 fawns inside the fence, I think I may pull the fence around the established clover and leave the fence around the peas.
