I have a new lease and put up a new feeder. The lease has cattle year round so I put a fence around the feeder. I have pictures of a deer walking by but never coming into the feeder.

I am concerned I made the fence too high even though I am sure the deer can clear it.

Any thoughts on height recommendation for fence?

Depending on what type you already have if your trying to just keep the cows out could just run two or three strands and it would work for cows. We have a fence that divides a pasture and it's just three strands 3 barb wire with the top little lower then chest high.

A single hot wire would work to keep cows out to if you are able to do that. Can put them anywhere between your knee and waist for height and would work.
