Okay. Tax season is among us. We will be getting a fairly decent return.
    I need/want a new bow.

How can I talk the misses into this.

My bow now is a Jennings Sonic XL, it is over a decade old. So far I have asked her for one for X-mas, now our anniversary is coming up, and I asked her if we could put some of that money away for me to get a new one. After paying off credit cards, and any outstanding debts.
I would sell the old bow, using all the things off of it for now. Sights, rest, release, and stabilizer. Okay maybe not that last one, but...

    I know I could get by only spending about 400 - 450.

Plan B... Open a new credit card, and nike that $h!t.

The first and second are the same btw.
I would have to pay off the visa, anyway. It costs too much not to.

I don't know how YOU "accessorize", but purse, man purse, whatever... It's just not my cup of tea. ;)

Pay off stuff and then buy a used bow at 60% of the cost of a new bow.

Go used... New bows are pretty overrated (or at least tell yourself that right now). I definitely wouldn't acquire any new debt for a bow... or anything at this point....

I do owe on a vehicle, but we make steady payments on that.
My plans are to pay down the CC. Pay off student loans.
Go back to school eventually. Still figuring out if I want to go Law enforcement, or Culinary. She is going to school for Graphic Design. And doing very well.

Outright, we have more in savings than we have in our regular banking.
The CD is our home buying money.

I am still tempted to start another job. Since I quit going to the school that I was going to, I have alot of free time.

Decisions, decisions... I'm just a live in the moment kind of guy.

I take $25 from each check for my hunting hobby. Doesn't seem like a lot, but it adds up quickly over a yr's time. Definitely, don't go into hock for it. You may hold out, and get a bow you really want, vs settling for a cheaper version.

    Yeah. I have a problem.
As my old boss used to tell me.
    "I don't get what I can, I get what I want."

Pay down the unsecured debt. Buy the bow with cash if you must. Jeff is right. This thing is gonna be a haul. We have been sailing along at an impossible pace for far too long in a lot of industries. Time to "pay the piper" of sorts.

What do you guys think I could get for my bow?
Just curious. She said I could sell my current setup, and save up for the rest of the cost of a new one.

I currently have a Jennings Sonic XL. Its pretty old. Needs a new string.
Looks barely used. I don't have any idea how old, or what it would have cost new, but I can get pics if that would help.

I figure maybe 150. with the new string on it.
I would throw in the stabilizer. and rest probably. Sights are staying with me.

PS: To the two that chose C.
    You aren't married, are you?

Yes. Yes I did. But I already have a Tv, and Game system.:d
    Just kidding.
No, really though. The bow is something that CAN wait. I was just using this forum as a way to get some other peoples opinions. I did take yours into alot of consideration.
Things have changed alot since then. I will probably reiterate on this at a later time. But some very life changing choices may be made here in the near future.:sheep:

    Ohh, believe you, me.
I'm like Frasier over here. "I'm Listening."
Except for the rolling of my Viper. I won't do that.
