Yesterday I was walking back in the dark from a public spot I'm familiar with and I was walking along a deep puddle that's been there forever bit it is a puddle with larvae and tadpoles, I couldn't see to well and I had a blind on my back a back pack also on my back, bow in hand and chair in my other hand. I lost my footing on a muddy part on the edge and completely went into the sludgy smelly puddle right off the highway full of litter.. I couldn't get up as the mud was so soft and all the crap on my back weigh me down.. I was only 40 yards from my truck what a way to end an already unproductive hunt :)

My phone was in my left pocket but I grabbed it immediately as i just got this phone and threw it into the leaves behind me so I guess it could've been worse but yes no pictures I did strip down naked outside my car and change into my other clothes so shoulda got a few pics of that as well lol but yea my bow and blind were dripping with mud and I couldn't find my chair so I fished for it with a stick and manage to retrieve it.. All in all it sucked..

Damn that sucks... I would be so pissed if that happened to me! I guess you just spray off your bow and dry it with like a hair dryer so it doesn't sit wet for a long time but gets clean at the same time. Take some pics of your gear if it is still really muddy
