I gotta agree with Christine and PT, with most of the things I do everyday a little blood and dirt ain't gonna hurt nothing. As far a my truck goes, I use it to work don't drive it around to say I got a truck, seat cover are replaceable.

Hold on here boys and girls. I didn't intend to start any fights with this post. I was reading an article about parasites that you encounter while field dressing deer. Clean hands are a bonus. Just because we're not all legendary woodsman (and Women) doesn't mean we leave are trash laying in the woods. I have never used them and been field dressing deer for over 30 years and I'm just fine. Well lets just say I've never gotten sick from doing it without gloves nor do I know anyone who has. That's where I was going with this. Thoughts?

My clients aren't looking for a professional with dirt and blood under his fingernails. My truck has a sprayed-in bed-liner and leather seats. I use it for farming and hunting and to drive to work and I keep it spotless. When I drove older trucks, I used seat covers and beat the heck out of the truck. Now I am old and soft and enjoy having a nice, new truck. Maybe I am just too much of a sissy to get my hands and truck dirty. That's great by me.

I have used them about half the time. I ALWAYS have them for back country hunts as I only have one change of clothes for said hunt. When deer hunting around home, I always have a 2 gallon jug of water, roll of paper towels, and a change of clothes or two waiting back in the truck.

Or in my case the past two falls, in my Camry. Christine thinks shes the only one who bowfishes and can pull off a soccer mom vehicle while hunting? Pshh...

    It's not a soccer mom vehicle. It's a liberal greenie vehicle. :P

Heck, some years Lady Forge stuffs more deer in the truck of her little Honda Civic than many guys here have shot in the past decade.

I seem to get just as messy whether Im wearing gloves or not...Im the person who always seems to find the blood pool to kneel in no matter where it is, so I just figure Ill have to wash everything anyway. So that being said, I dont wear gloves. Also seem to not cut myself nearly as much as when I tried wearing gloves.

There has to be a rule written somewhere stating anyone who drives a Prius can't call anyone a sissy. Period. :D

Oh, and before you even start...... Shaddup Tony!

Like I would follow that rule...

I found this pic. Old picture but the attitude is the same (if not worse). Shirt says "I'm not mean, you're just a sissy."

Great picture! :tu: Just curious..... are they real? (I'm talking about the swords, of course.)

I don't doubt it one bit.

I use them, but I like the Field Dressing gloves. Make sure they give you a big discount if you're buying the Feild dressing gloves, I here their quality control is struggling a bit.

How does wearing gloves keep keep ones clothes clean? I'm with Christine, I usually bathe in blood or it looks like it when I'm done but when I'm done I change my clothes and clean up before I get in my truck. I even change my clothes if I don't kill anything. I will tell you though I cut my hand while cleaning a bear and was nervous for a while. That would have happened whether I had gloves on or not.

I guess it depends on what you do, working construction and taking care of 100 head of beef cows none of the "clients" I deal with arent that worried about little dirt or whatever. Same with truck I can clean it out all the time but it doesn't stay that way long.
