Who here uses gutting gloves? I read an article a while back on all the parasites that you come in contact with while field dressing a deer. I've been doing it without for more than 30 years and have not had any problems. Is it just a good idea to use them kinda like a safety harness?

I will be using them this year, but for processing not field dressing.

I use them. When I am finished I put the heart inside and tie a knot around it and take them home.

I use them but only because I'm apparently allergic to deer dander - yeah its annoying. If I get the stuff on my hands or clothes I almost always wind up sneezing my head off, and if I touch my face or eyes it really gets bad.

I'll use the elbow gloves this year and probably take a benadryl afterwards.

I go to the large animal vet and get a whole box of the long sleeved plastic gloves that the vet uses to preg-check cows and hand them out to my buddies. I think there are like 100 pairs in a box. I just like to use them because I don't have to peel off my good hunting coat or shirt and don't have to worry about where I can clean up my hands etc, before jumping into my truck. A refill pack of non-scented baby wipes in your pack or under the truck seat is handy for cleaning up knives etc too.

We dress 40 plus per year and go to fleetfarm for the shoulder length sleeve gloves with a laytex hand glove over for knife dexterity.

I use them. But I also use Nitrile gloves when doing motorcycle mechanics. I am 41 years old and well past caring if people think I am a sissy for wearing gloves LOL. But they make clean up much easier and keeps your gear clean for the walk back out to truck. Also when you have to get in your vehicle that you drive everyday or change out of your hunting clothes for the long drive home, it's nice not having bloody/gory hands.

My first few deer I harvested I didn't use them. But I have for the last few and they are great for after the job clean up. So much less mess on you and your equipment to deal with. They are great IMO and will always use them from now on.

They cost a few cents a pair. Nothing to justify there. I think I paid a little over ten bucks for 100 gloves. Less than fifty cents to keep my truck and hunting clothes clean is well worth it.

Yeah, I use them. I use the shoulder length with the latex gloves over top of that. Clean up is a breeze this way! No brainer to me.

I do not and never have. No real reason, just never really have. My brother typically keeps some in his pack, and I may also now that you mention it and I know someone who has a box full of them.
