Hey, if their going to shut it down, we need to shut the whole damn system down. We should all withhold our taxes until they get a budget. They can't send us all to prison for not paying our taxes. federal taxes only, we should still pay our state taxes, their not the ones sticking it to us.
I just got home from our local NWR. Its running with all of its employees like always... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk 4
Guess not. I talked to the worker there for 30 mins or so being I have a draw hunt there at the end of the month. Nothing out of the ordinary. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk 4
I was gonna say the exact same thing. If they are still working and keeping their eye on things, and taking our tax money, it shouldnt effect the ability to hunt.
Places had to be open today until noon, some longer. All agencies were doing mandatory things to prepare for the worst. Each refuge or hatchery had certain guidelines they had to do prior to a shutdown. Employees still had to enter time sheets, lock all the areas, answer any emails.
Most of the "essential" employees are only allowed to do minimal work, though. Law enforcement might not be able to work for more than an hour a day during the shutdown. A lot of the essential employees aren't getting paid, either.
All the members of this website who own private land ought to let us public hunters hunt their lands until Washington figures out stuff.............what do ya say ?????? Show a brother some LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUVVVVVVVVVV..........Just send me the GPS coordinates, I'll take care of the rest
Finger Lakes National Forest in upstate NY is closed. They have given bow hunters camping there another day to pack up and leave.
Its true... just showed a picture on the news of a sign on a gate that said "due to government shut down all national parks will be closed"
Crock of **** if you ask me. The government shuts down and 800,000 government employees dont get paid yet the people in congress and the president still gets paid
