Bought some custom fletched arrows about 3 weeks ago. 3in feathers on a right hellical. I've shot feathers before and I always like them and they seemed to hold up pretty well for me, but I think I might have gotten a bad bunch because the feathers are ripping off in flight. I know my bow is not that fast with a 26in draw. I looked at the glue bead under the feathers and it looks like the skimped me. Instead of a continuous bead it is a dot dot dot. They just peel off. 3 weeks isn't a very long time to me and I'm kind of pissed because I paid a lot for them, so I will probably just fletch my own. I'm sure I could do a better job.

anyway, how long do some of you guys get out of feathers?

Anywhere from a few months to a couple years depending upon how much that particular arrow has been in my rotation of practice shooting.

If I'd quit shooting at the same dot, I'd get a couple years out of all mine.

They last as long as I don't do something to tear them up. I have had them stay on after pass throughs on my target.
