Anyone watch Chris Brackett and Zac Browns new show? All I have to say is its gonna be an epic win for Outdoor channel!
http://wiredtohunt.com/2011/01/23/chris-bracket-is-back-and-the-new-fear-no-evil-promo/ Just found this if anyone is looking... cant wait to catch an episode of this... I can't tell them apart haha
IMO, you will see a huge influx of country music stars into the outdoor film industry after the success Craig Morgan is having with his show....They are in a lot of ways, the same audiences, and they have unlimited resources to produce a top quality show which is what holds back 90% of hunting shows on TV. It'll likely be entertaining, as long as I don't have to watch Brackett shoot butterflies and tadpoles for 30 minutes, I didn't care for the theme of Arrow Affliction at all.
Give Blake a show and he'd own the ratings. It's the only thing I really look forward to on the outdoor channel every year, when he's on the various shows. He's a riot.
I'm with you on this 100%. A Chris Brackett fan, I am not. The dude is a bowhunter, not a rockstar. Quit with "throwing the horns" and lighting everything on fire already. The only reason I'll watch this show is b/c I'm a big Zac Brown fan.
Theres too much slow motion IMO. It was still a pretty good episode though, I will watch more of them
i couldnt agree with you both more. ive never been a fan of the "hollywood" part of hunting that a lot of guys add to their shows. Sure, its entertaining, but its kind of a loss of respect towards the sport in my eyes.
Ha I honestly typed that response wearing a Brackett Bowfishing shirt from when we did that aerial bowfishing trip with him a few years back, so I guess I atleast have first hand experience with him.... Dude is cool, but a little off his rocker at times. His on TV personality is how he is in real life, semi crazy. lol
I don't like or even watch too many outdoor programs because they're so cookie cutter. With that being said, I did DVR the first episode of Fear No Evil and IMO it needs better editing and producing. A couple things that caught my attentions were; They were Mule Deer hunting in North Dakota and twice Chris said South Dakota shortly after he'd said North Dakota...A little confused from the bitter cold I suppose. On the first Mulie he shot from behind the round bale, his peep sight was turned completely sideways, so much that there was no way he could have seen through it. I know and understand the TV shot was probably filmed seperately from the actual shot but man, let's get things to look right anyway. Just my .02¢ worth of
That looks terrible, but I'm just a casual hunting show observer. Never heard of either of them, but it looks like that one dude tries WAY too hard to be cool.
I'm gonna realy like this show. Zacd Brown Band is definatly one of my favorite country bands and Chris is NOT " Whacking em' and stacking em''. He made a whole show about One deer that he shot which was one of his best hunting exp[eriences in his life. give him props for telling an Epic story.
Just saw on my friends facebook that they'll have a little short segment about his scent business on the show. They work really hard with their deer farm and scent so hopefully it gets him some increased business opportunities.
I had a fairly lengthy conversation with Chris at the ATA show, seems like a nice guy, funny for sure! Hope him and Zac have the best of luck with the new show, I enjoyed it myself, not all about kill scenes and advertisements.
