The patriot act sucks, top to bottom. Only a fool or a serf would trade their freedom for perceived security. And we have a lot of government created fools and serfs in this country...
So they mail anthrax around the country? Planes land at the capital that the guy called and told them he was coming? People crossing the whitehouse lawn all the time? Drunk agents running into the fences at the whitehouse? Are these really the people in charge! Keystone cops if you ask me. I have zero confidence in any of them.
I doubt the FBI had any interest watching me planting food plots, it really doesn't bother me in the least. Hope it helps catch some criminals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The government has been doin surveillance on citizens since there's probably been a government so honestly could really care less. The only difference now is the info is out there and more people know they're doin it. The sad fact is that there is so much info out there from everyone there's really not much out there anymore that is private.
The average citizen commits felonies without even realizing it. Nobody should be comfortable with sweeping surveillance.
The planes are targeting specific organizations or people involved in ongoing investigations. In a 30 day period they flew planes in 11 states...not exactly sweeping the country with surveillance.
I am pretty sure I have yet to commit a felony, but hey I live large Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That we know of... and the government has already shown that they have interpreted 'relevant' to mean 'everything'. Folks here have posted that they are comfortable with sweeping surveillance. "Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you.."
To the last, I will grapple with thee... from Hell's heart, I stab at thee! For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!
I don't necessarily have issues with surveillance. I want criminals caught and off the streets. Especially any involved in terrorist activities. The larger problem for me is the massive intrusion the federal government is making into every aspect of our lives. They have forgotten the times of states rights and individual freedoms, all in the name of "what's better" for the country. I wish someone would remind them of the 10th Amendment to the bill of rights: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."
I moved out here for a reason. :D The Fed's have declared the entire state of Utah as 'hostile' in the Jade Helm 15 exercises. LOL Not too far from here is Topaz internment camp. A grim reminder that 'a government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have.' Over 11,000 people were put there. Stripped of rights and everything they owned. Not because they committed any kind of crime but because the government didn't trust them.
Yet 31% of Utah budget for the state is is funded by the federal gov, time to cut the cord Utah, Michigan is 36%, but nobody want to live here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not sure what any of this has to do with government surveillance... But if we're whipping out federal aid comparisons... http://www.sltrib.com/news/1883080-155/utah-last-in-federal-aid-per
Nothing to do with it, just a dig on Utah for hating the government, but still taking their money Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
