Ed Werder of ESPN has said Favre is to meet with Vikings coach this week and Favre's agent has hired a QB coach to work with Favre in Mississippi over the next couple of weeks.

So much for that February 13 interview huh?

Did anybody really think Favre would stay retired? I sure didn't. I think athletes especially good ones have trouble stepping away.

Beautiful, we don't have to worry about Minnesota this season! Good luck with all those interceptions Viking fans!

    Ahhhh and so it begins.

The packer backers already getting salty, and they are just in the talking stages

If we sign him, I'm going to the VIKES/Pack game in Green Bay, wearing a purple #4:d

Where you been have you seen our QB the last few years? Favre will throw a few interceptions for sure but the Vikings will be no worse with Favre then without him. It only can get better. Ill give him the chance over Tjack since Tjack is not our answer. lol This could be the year!!!!! Look at us now, Look at us now.

Remember the greatest basketball player of all time?

He came out of retirement twice and played till he was 41....

Pretty sure his legacy is intact

Football is a whole different story my friend and with that consecutive games streak
it makes even more wear and tear on his body.
I wish him well if he does but it will suck seeing him in a VIQUEENS uniform
    for sure.

Oh it'll be look at us now, look at us now, but for different reasons than your hoping for! The Vikings will spend a TON of money and I'm willing to bet Favres arm won't make halfway thru the season! Then the only thing that'll be flying thru the air from Favre will be excuses! Like I said, I hope he signs with the Vikings! :d

As I've said several times, I'd still take him over Bulger in St Louis. Carolina has a good QB, I think you are safe Jeff. :D Favre looked really good his last season in Green Bay, and got off to a good start in NY. Time will tell if it was an injury or father time catching up with him. One thing is for sure, he loves the lime light.

i like favre, as a packer fan how can you not? but he needs to retire (and stay there)... though there is a certain bit of satisfaction to be had if he goes to the vikes and beat the pack badly... i'm still convinced ted thompson and crew made the wrong decision sticking with rodgers or favre who just the previous season had taken them to the NFC championship game...

He may be getting up there in football years and the flip flopping retirement is old...but he is a better QB now the TJacks will ever be. The Vikes have NOBODY to throw the ball. I do think Favre is an improvement for them.

Kurt Warner is about the same age as Favre and many people also thought he was washed up just a few years ago. Nobody seems to be saying that now. Kerry Collins is not a young man either.

It really comes down to the health of his arm. If he can still throw he can still play at a high level. Another thing to remember is that he would not need to carry this team on his shoulders...the vikes have one of the top running games in the league.

We are hurtng at Qb. Sounds like your trying to convince yourself why would we want him if GB got rid of him. lol
Well everyone knows the Vikes are underacheivers always have been. So we have nothing to lose. If we lose (hypothetically if we have Favre) then we are suppose to lose, but if we win with Favre then that would drive Packer fans nuts. Personally I don't care if we have Favre or not. 38 Years watching the Vikes disappoint me so I expect that, lol but there is that small chance we go to the playoffs and we will most likely be better than the pack with or without Favre anyway this year. Be interesting to see and it's always fun to talk about it.
