Favre Comments on Aaron Rodgers Success

    On the SB Win: "The biggest surprise to me would be that he didn't do it sooner."

    And then a little passive aggressiveness to finish him off :)

    "He just kind of fell into a good situation. On top of that, he's a good player. I don't think there's any pressure on him now, the talent around him is even better than when I was there."

    While Rodgers has quickly made people forget ol' #4, Favre isn't as quick to give unconditional praise to the new face of the franchise!

    I don't think they ever really got along that well, back when Rodgers was #4s backup from 2005 to 2008. Favre knew the front office had wanted a successor but didn't really want to accept the fact that it was time to move on with a fresh face under center. Heck, Favre was a sophomore in high school when rodgers was born so obviously there was a huge age gap between the two of them. thompson was smart to let favre go when he did, but at the time he had to have alot of faith in rodgers, who had only played in a few games up to that point.
