I have 2 Covert Red 40's, which I love, and a Cuddeback Attack which works better than any of my previous Cudde's.
I like the wild game ones myself! I had the A-5 and seem like pic's in the dark wouldn't show up maybe 1 out 5 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
I have recently changed my thinking on this subject. I run Reconyx, Bushnell, Moultrie, and have recently purchased some Stealths. I have had good luck with the Reconyx in the past. I had one out last winter that took almost 17000 pictures over three months on a single set of batteries. I was so pleased I purchased 2 more HC500's. Unfortunately the tide has turned and my new Reconyx are unreliable. I sent them back to Trailcampro for testing. In addition a HC600 i have no longer takes good pictures at night. With a $500 price tag (not to mention security boxes, python locks) I can no longer justify running them. I don't mind paying more for American made products but the quality and reliability has to be there. I think there are bunch of good cameras out there. I like my stealths so far but have only had them for a couple of months. Whatever camera you decide to go with I would strongly consider buying them from trailcampro. Their customer service/warranty is very good.
I like Covert cameras. I have at least 12 of them and they all work really well for me. My favorite is the MP6. Second is the Red 40. I picked up a couple of USA Trail Cameras Patrioti cameras a few months back and they work really well too.
I love my moultrie m-80. Been in the woods for 3-4 years straight with ZERO issues. Plus, battery life is great. The other cameras I have are the cheapest wildgame innovations cameras. I've gotten 3-4 of them for around 30-40 bucks a piece and they take decent pics. Not going to go on any calendars, but for that price, it's great for what I need it for.
I have old and new model (10 of each) Moultrie M-880's, (2) Covert MP8Blacks, a couple of old Bushnell Trophy cams (2012's), (10) Stealth Cam G42Ng's and I had a Primo's Proofcam 2 for a while this summer before I gave it to my brother in law as a gift. My list in order of favorite to least with a rating out of ten: Stealthcam G42 (9-10) 2013 M M-880 (8-10) Covert MP8 black (7-10) Primos Proofcam 2 (7-10) 2014 M M-880 (6-10) Bushnell Trophycams (3-10) (To be fair these are really old)
I have had the best luck with the Cabela's brand cameras. They are priced reasonably for the quality of pics. I think they are a version of the Bushnell cameras. They are both set up the same. I have had really good luck with the bushnell's too.
Just a heads up guys. Last night, I purchased a Browning Range Ops camera from our local Field and Stream store. I had a gift card to use so figured why not. The reviews on Trailcampro were pretty favorable on this cam, especially given the price range of around $120. I played around with it today, hanging it on a tree facing the door where our dog goes in and out. Trigger speed is very good on this cam. Pic quality isn't too shabby either. The settings are simple to make and screen and buttons easy to use. The case design, especially the removable battery tray is excellent. The night pictures on IR aren't too bad either. Shutter speed seems to be decent will less motion blur that is typical on the IR cams. Its early yet, it might be a dud, but so far, I have to say its not a bad cam for the price. If it holds up over the winter inventory runs I do, I'll most likely buy a few more of these.
Current personal preference list is Stealth g42ng then Moultrie. Really disappointed in the Covert I tried a couple years ago. I've come close to trying a Reconyx but hesitate, thought of leaving on public lands at that price is nauseating. Was prepped to try a Browning Special Ops as I look to replace a couple cams that are starting to glitch but decided to give the Exodus a try instead.
