I have been using Colvert's trail cams for the past 3 yrs and absolutly love them. I would highly recommend them.
Moultrie. I have ran Coverts and Moultrie. Both take solid day pictures, but Moultrie takes much better night pictures.
I have a bushnell bone collector addition. It has been an okay camera used it for a couple yrs had an issue with water getting in the lcd window. Also noticed slow trigger speed on that model.
The coverts ive seen on here look awsome and if ur looking for a good working kinda cheaper i reccomend moultrie
I use cuddeback. Great picture quality but not the best battery life and on my cams the fasted delay is 30 secs.
I just started the trail cam game a little while ago. I only have 1 at the moment but..... :D Its a Moultrie( that I got from Caleb for an awesome deal) and I'm very pleased with its performance thus far. And wouldn't hesitate getting another if a great deal came along. With that said I think the next cam I buy will be a Covert. Solely because of the pics I've seen here and the testimonials of the users. They seem like amazing cams for the price. Here's the fella that has shown up on my pull from today. I'm super amped!!
I liked my Bushnell Trophy Cams, but I have never gotten one to work past the 2 year mark without freaking out.
I dont buy expensive cams. I know you get what you pay for but I can't justify spending hundreds on cameras that are going to sit in the woods. So here are my $100 or under opinions: Wildgame - they are pretty solid cameras. I've had one fully submersed for a few days and it still works awesome. You have to deal with a few occasional all white pics, but when you can find them on clearance for $50, not bad. Bushnell - I'm a big bushnell fan in general. They make quality products that they stand behind. You can find these at walmart for $100 and under, or on clearance for much cheaper. I had a problem once and they replaced a $60 lowest end cam for a $200 trophy cam. Moultrie - Again, great customer service and rugged cameras. I have the same comments as the bushnells. I typically try to stay away from anything that takes larger than AA batteries. For some reason I have just found those to be less reliable.
I'd never heard of Covert before but those pics are awesome. I have moultrie, one reconyx (my beloved) and a couple crappy old ones you can probably pick up at walmart for less than 20 bucks. needless to say, they suck. I'm looking for a couple good new ones this year. Found this review of a bunch of newbies and ones with good ratings: Trail camera reviews and prices. the comparison charts are pretty helpful.
Wow those covert cams take solid pics, so clear compared to my moultrie cams.. Might have to pull the trigger on a covert i think
