For the activity? Mid season for sure. You can't beat the scenery around here, though during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of October.
so I voted mid season. nothing is more exciting then hunting the rut. but, I will say I have had a lot of success the last few weeks of the season.
From October 28th-ish till november 15th-ish. There's nothing like the weeks leading up to the rut when rubs and scrapes start popping up, i get that quick heart stop feeling when i see one.....
First two weeks of November for me. I like early season to catch them on their feeding patterns but first two weeks in November things start getting real.
Halloween till about November 15th man the things I have witnessed during the rut make me want to sit in stand all day every day
I love early season! The heat doesn't bother me one bit. I have shot more bucks in September, then any other month. I love playing the cat and mouse game with them and trying to figure them out on there terms. Was never a fan of the rut, just to random for me. If I haven't got a buck by mid season, I usually take a week to hunt the rut. That is the best time to catch a buck out moving that I was chasing during early season. For late season, I just never have the food. That can make for some tuff late season hunts.
The week before shotgun season. But most of my success has actually come mid Oct believe it or not Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
My favorite is anytime I'm out there. But I love right around Halloween. Also 2nd week in November around the 12-15th. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
