Central Minnesota whitetail during the rut... Only because I can't afford to go on an out of state hunt, and whitetails/turkeys are the only thing I've hunted with a bow.
For budgetary reasons only I have not experienced much outside of small game and deer....and I would still without knowing first hand say pursuing any of the following with a bow; elk, caribou, moose, red stag....
Throw some corn on the ground and a load of kool aid and beer and molasses and you’ll soon know where they are
Hard to say.... Listening to a old Tom walk in is just about the best. Yet working all year to finally defeat a mature 130+ in NY is what my dreams are made of.
Whitetail's in the mid-west during the rut! Or spring gobbler season in the mountains of PA absolutely love that also...
Whitetail bucks because they come to you, you don't have to go chasing them all over a section of land.
I'm fairly new to the traveling hunter realm. However far and away for me would be bugling elk in the rut. The interaction is something I won't soon forget and one that I hope to relive again this season. My coues deer hunt was a blast also, with quite a bit of action. It's a great challenge and I hope to get back in 2019 to make up for a misguided arrow. Spot and stalk black bears were a rush, but the beautiful country we hunted probably made the hunt for us. Suprisingly some of the best game meat I've ever ate also. New hunts on the plate in the near future for me are hopefully a velvet muley hunt this August and then getting up to Alaska in '19 to chase caribou. There's so many adventures out there to tackle, and so much of it can be done DIY with a little homework. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk
giant whitetails because they are somewhat unpredictable and you can barely hear them. just when you think they are going to do one thing they mysteriously do the opposite.
I'd have to say rutting elk in September...in any state. I've only hunted them in Wyoming but the state wouldn't matter. Why? Because I love the mountains, bugling elk, bow hunting and hiking
