This is a tough one for me, I like alot of different ethnic foods. Since I really like spicy food I have to go with Thai.

Probably not the mainstream, but my favorites...

Thai: Som Tum & Pad Thai
    Colombian: Ajiaco
    Indian: Kheer

American: (the best) is a a nice aged bone-in rib eye cooked medium rare with a warm center...

Chicken tikka marsala over a bed of rice with a side of naan. Good stuff! (Indian for those who don't know ;) )

Based on his recent posts I will suppose that Hooker’s favorite is Asian food perhaps the

    Cream of sum yung gui

Followed by an open face chick fil A Sammy.

For me it’s a toss up between Chinese and Tai food.

I love me some Pho, so Thai is up there. We have an Honduran restaurant near the house, which is superb. I love a good gyro every now and then. Love fresh sushi and sashimi. I've had Ethiopian in DC, which was phenomenal.

I really like all ethnic food if done right. Indian would probably be my least favorite if I had to pick. Not huge on curry.

Korean food - Kalbi (beef ribs) with rice, chopjae (Korean glass noodles) and cabbage kimchi is my ultimate non-western meal.

Cajun all the way. Love the seasoning I put that **** on everything. Steaks, Beef, Chicken, Pork, Seafood, Salads, and of course Venison. I can't resist Gumbo, Jambalaya, Fried Gator tale, and of course Crawfish is my favorite. I’d eat good Cajun crawfish over anything Gordon Ramsay could cook up.

I also like everything else, but prefer Cajun most of the time.

But most importantly I like food that I purchase with hard honest made money, as appose to Obama's free handouts.
    Sorry to turn this political.

Mexican...hands down. Even so much that I took a lot of time and trouble to search out and refine some recipes that are killer.

I will admit to loving Chinese and Japanese food also. I have recipes of all ethnic groups and cook them for guest... but my taste buds are Mexican. Tonight was pan seared scallops with wilted fennel and spiniach. I had the scallops shipped from Maine. Yummy.

Did you have them shipped to Walmart? lol I stopped buying frozen fish from stores. they don't taste right after frozen through a chain of stores. But then again I'm not a fan of freezing fish in general. Fresh as the day you catch them is what I like, but if I do freeze them I try to eat them with in 30 days or they just stop tasting good.

What type of connection do you have in Maine for scallops?

I prefer American comfort food. Roast chicken, mashed potatos with gravy made from the roast chicken drippings, green beans cooked with hickory smoked bacon, homemade biscuits.
