    I always was a fan of the West Wing, until the orginal writers left.

    I just started seasons 4 of Prison Break, a well written, well thought out show. I like the way the writers have the main character think and solve problems.

    Deadwood and Rome top my list as recent classics, i LOVED the historical accuracy of both, absolutely phenomenal production value as well... in the distant past I liked MASH (though its a comedy-drama)...
