I know its an absolutely stupid subject but just curious. What's y'alls favorite candy bar or nutrition bar to have in ur pack on a hunt? Or even just to eat in general when not hunting.

My favorite has to be Snickers! I love Snickers bars. They're awesome.

It is their best flavor. Runners up would be chocolate chip and coconut chocolate chip.

When I am backpacking I need a lot of calories. I really like the cookie dough Big 100 bar from Metrx. Usually around 350+/- calories in one bar! Tons of energy. Great for breakfast. After that its PB, Bacon, and honey on a bagel.

I've had the Choc chip one. Not to bad. I'm not a fan of coconut in that form so I'll pass on that one.

I love white Choc and macadamia nut so I'm gonna go see if I can find one after work to try.

The largest Snickers bar I can find. You know the one with like 900 calories.

Haha. That's what I'm saying!! Something about snickers is just awesome. :)

Oh and backcountry I def wanna try the PB, bacon, and honey on a bagel for a lunch sandwich. That sounds really good. I used to eat pb and honey as a kid all the time. Never thought of throwing bacon in the mix. Mmmmmm

Great source of protein and calories. Packs for days and days. Bagels don't get all smashed up in the pack, and their tasty to boot! The last few years I have done a lot of research into the right foods to pack. I normally did the granola and trail mix route. I got so sick of it that I just stopped take snack breaks, not good.

Now, I pack foods that I love to eat and with conversely supplement me.

I like Clif bars too. The one Vito suggested is great, there is another blueberry crisp and carrot cake ones that I really like too.

I literally have to gag down any nutrition type bar. Specifically the cliff bars. Not sure what it is but I can't do it.
