    Any of Robert Ruark's books are great reading "Some Thing of value" is one of his best.

    Hemingway is another, "The Green Hills of Africa" and " For Whom the bell tolls" are both great reading and thought inspiring.

    Louis L'Amour.. 'The Sacketts'.. some of my favorite stories.

    Actually want to name my first born son after one of his characters.. Oren... but the wife is not to keen on that.:(

    Wow we have some intellectuals among us.The majority of my reading is hunting related non fiction.I am reading Mike Mittens book right now,One with the wilderness,passions of a solo bow hunter.Which will be followed by Gene Wensels new book,which will be followed by Barry Wensels new book.

    I read a lot while I was in high school. Some books that come to mind are:

    The Redwall series-Jaques
    The Hatchet series-Paulsen
    Harris and Me-Paulsen
    I hope they serve beer in hell-Max
