    Rutting elk, hands down.

Why? It's hard, they taste better, have bigger antlers and they talk back to you. They see, smell and hear better than whitetails and it takes place in the most beautiful areas in the country.

Never done Mulies, Elk, or Moose (all on the agenda for Fall 2014) so my opinion may change...

But Caribou hands down. Their antler size to body size ratio is the biggest on the continent...it's a huge rush stalking in on a creature when you can see the antler tips over a hill and know you still have 3 feet of clearance before his eyes can spot you. :D

When I was younger, if there were a season, I was hunting it. Since I started bowhunting whitetails in the early 90's, whitetail deer have become #1 for me. But, I do get out for a few other things...

    - Turkey in the spring which I really like. It's exciting when they're answering your calls and strutting in.
    - Dove on September 1st and maybe the 2nd. It can be a lot of fun if the doves are flying. If not....boring.
    - Quail in December. Quail hunting is where I got started hunting. My dad was a dedicated quail hunter and would let me tag along on occasion. I still love it, but just don't get out to do it that much anymore. I don't have dogs so I have to tag along with someone who does.
    - Waterfowl very rarely. It's a lot of fun but I just don't have the time to hunt everything. And, I have to tag along with someone with decoys and someone who can call.
    - Coyote in January and February. I usually only go when there's snow on the ground. I like it but it's last on the list of things I hunt.

I've never hunted elk or mule deer. I think I would really like it. I hope to do so in the next few years. I don't have any desire to hunt bear.

Deer, hogs, and turkeys with a bow(although I have yet to find success turkey hunting). I may rig up an old bow for bowfishing this spring, everyone I know who has done that loves it.
