This is what I buy what I can't afford Jack D. It's very, very comparable. I also enjoy a good tequila.
Can't afford?!?! You sir, need a Costco card... $20 for a 1.75 ltr. lol. My room mate in the Barracks and I used to make a weekly trip to pick up a couple of em. He made me quit drinking SoCo, though, when he drank the ltr bottle, and kept passing out standing up. Fell flat as a board, while standing at attention. lol. Young and dumb, we were...
McMasters Whiskey, good stuff!! Mix that with some coke and there's my favorite beverage (Mack Coke).
there are somethings i have an aversion to... SOCO (now!!!), tequila, and jaegermeister... I haven't drank like that since then, don't see that happening again this year...
I really don't have a favorite beer, I can drink most any beer if its cold. I usually buy Sam Adams, Rolling Rock or Miller Lite. Fishing/camping beer....whatever is the cheapest. PBR/Keystone/Busch.....anything but Natty. I can't stand that swill.
I like GOOD beer. I don't like it that cold either. Generally a good IPA is what I prefer, but I do like trying some of the various craft beers that mix flavors(pumpkin beers, chocolate stouts, coffe stouts, select fruit beers) I'm not a fan of the wheat beers, in general. I'll drink bud light, corona or landshark "when I'm not drinking"
I do enjoy a cold beer now and again. But honestly, I don't like it enough to drink more than 2. My all time favorite is Jack, straight up. Red Bull / Vodka is fast becoming a favorite.
Yeah right or wrong, the colder the better. As far as beer goes, I usually only drink in quantity and recently turned into an Ultra guy myself. I tend to steer clear of the liquors after one to many mishaps, but I really enjoy a good bourbon and sprite. Four Roses Single Barrel is quite tasty.
I quit drinking altogether several years ago after a long (and sometimes painful) relationship with the Purple Bag w/Gold Drawstrings. Got to where I was drinking a fifth a week or better. All good things must come to an end. (Really was not that good, I just thought it was) I also ran into a special occasion drink at a place called Maggios in Natchitoches LA one night. They called it "Demon Days". Imagine if you will a Grape Slushy with a lot of extra juice in it + several types of alcohol. This stuff was smooth as silk and strong as a bay mule. Would slowly creep up on you and fry your brain. Good/Bad stuff.
If I am gonna make a night of it, I get after the vodka. Otherwise a cold beer or two hits the spot. Honestly, outside of the summer months and January trade shows, I don't drink nearly as much as I used to.
Lets see here, I prefer Crown and Sun Drop, or Gentlemans Jack Hypnotic and Powerade is killer to me too. If Im lookin to get out cheap, Ill take a Coors, Bud, or Natty any day My Grandpa's homemade wine is also, very very good and VERY strong, trust me, it got me real good one night.
Our one bar had a special called "Blue Balls" which was a pitcher 3/4 full of different liquors (mostly Bacardi's) and it tasted exactly like blue Kool-Aid... they were $6 each and went down VERY smooth... talk about a bad deal. I had some bad mornings after drinking them and my fiance had one very bad night where I was actually pretty worried for her.
There's a bar in State College that has something similar for 5 bucks. They were called Monkey Boys.......two of them and your night was well started.
Anytime you start playing with those types of drinks,.... it can lead to bad, bad stuff. I am too old for that kind of stuff anymore.
Cold beer here,,,coors light poured in one of those double wall liquid filled cups that you freeze OH, Im drinking one now :D
