All this talk about favorites... why not alcohol? What's your preferred adult beverage? Does it vary if it's dinner or a night with the guys? Personally, I'll take a tall cold glass of Guinness any day. Maybe a glass of wine w/ dinner. If I'm out with the guys and full from dinner, I'll go Southern Comfort on the rocks. What about you?
Well, I had to vote "cold beer", but I really don't like my beer cold. Beer should be slightly above room temperature. But anyways, beer is definitely my choice. I'll also enjoy a good wine with dinner on occasion. I rarely drink hard liquor. I've had a few bad experiences with scotch.
I'll Never Touch The stuff!!!! lol.. It depends on whats in the house... Beer, wine, Johnny, Jack, Jim, Jose, Mouthwash, Sterno, whatever gets it done....
Yeah. It's called J&B... lol. I've only tasted Heaven once, and it came with a Blue Label... Best insane amount of money I have ever spent... and will never spend again. lol. I'll stick with Black Label, and sometimes Red... THey are both still very tasty. I've heard Oban is a fairly good, decently priced, single malt. Along with a few others.
Cold Beer. Usually something cheap. Whatever we can get in large quanitites for pong SO CO and Jack make me alot tougher then i am
Its a toss up between beer's like Sam Adams Octoberfest, Yuengling Black & Tan, and any of the Dogfish Head and Stone/Arrogant Bastard brewing companies. Hard liquers... Southern Comfort, Captain Morgan Tattoo, Hypnotic, JW Red, and my baby.... Crown!
I used to drink a lot of beer. Not so much these days......only when I go out which isn't much these days. Usually I'll have a shot or two of crown on the rocks as my preferred beverage. I usually do this 1-2 times a week. I'll also drink wine with dinner sometimes as well.
I almost always prefer a beer over the hard stuff. My favorite beer is from the Choc brewery here in Oklahoma, it's called "Last Laugh" When it comes to liquor, my poison of choice is Southern Comfort.
good wine at dinner time and good beer afterwards. I used to make my own beer but with all of the quality selections out now it just isn't worth it anymore.
If I wanna have one or two.....It's a Newcastle or a Brodeur's. If I wanna have several, it's Ultra or a Bud Light lime (take my card). If I'm in the mood, I'm a wild turkey and coke guy.
wish this was multiple choice.... really depends on how I feel, lately i've been really digging on top shelf single malt scotches... stuff in the $60-80/btl range... it lasts a long time for me as I sip and enjoy so it only seems expensive... but during the spring I really enjoy fine red wines and vintage port... and of course most of you know I brew my own beer and meads... so beer is a obvious favorite...
absolutely no question Evan Williams bourbon with a small splash of ginger.... or a tequila shot here or there
oban is typically about $65/btl around here... depends on what you want out of a scotch... personally, in that price range, my favorite has been Highland Park 15yr... a touch of the smoke/peat flavors but not over the top, rich and malty and a nice finish that leaves a hint of smoke with you... if you want something a bit more of a 'dessert' scotch I suggest Balvenie Doublewood... it is rich dare I say sweet, with a very complex flavor that lingers nicely... if you are looking for an inexpensive, but smooth drinking malt, check the glenfiddich 15yr, at the local liquor store it is only about $3-4 more than johnny black and is MUCH better and more flavorful.... and excellent 'gateway' single malt scotch that I keep around for people that aren't into scotch yet and for the occasional mellow swirl...
If I drank some of the liquor you all do, I would be dancing like this in the nude on a nightly basis...
