No idea what kind of bow it is. Already planned on going into a few stores tomorrow. Maybe it's a decent now that I can revive? My plan was to go in, test a few bows, sit on it and think. Read some reviews and then in two weeks decide which bow to purchase. However, frugally speaking, it'd be cheaper to get this bow tuned and get a sight put on. Thoughts anyone?

I'm not sure what brand the bow is, but I do know it has a bit of age on it.

If you shoot any newer bow side by side with the one pictured, you probably won't keep the older one. Good luck to you.

I wouldn't put any money into that bow. if your on a budget you'd be better off getting any entry level package.

I wouldn't put any money in it. Like trial said a good entry level package will be much better.

Appreciate the feedback. Didn't know if it was worth putting money into.

Yup, Agreed. That bow's probably got a few battle stories of her own, but I really don't think you'd be very attached to it after shooting a new one. A person could invest a couple hundred into it, and it still won't be able to keep pace with a newer generation bow... Technology has advanced a lot over the years. Good luck man

Looks to me like an old Browning. I wouldnt put any $ into it. What it would cost you to get it ready to hunt with you could probably buy a new bow ready to hunt set up! Well, your call, best of luck with whatever you decide! Keep us posted.

Use it for bow fishing, or put it for sale and use the money towards a new bow. It was a good bow in its day but that day has passed.

Take it to a bow shop and see if it is safe to shoot. If it is shoot the stuffing out of it working on good form. Get a book or lesson from the pro at the shop. Then after that go back to your shop and shoot some ready hunt package bows. It will be like driving a Ferrari after driving a model T!
