I have attached a photo of the area I Hunt. The red outline is where I can hunt. The Yellow STAR is where my blind is. The yellow dots/line is where I'm thinking of planting a food plot or surrounding cover. Basically, the deer move out of the surrounding bush into the alfalfa. Usually hitting my bait first or so I think. Id like to plant something fast growing around the yellow perimeter to give them a little more cover before entering the open.. any ideas? I was thinking Corn, or some sort of fast tall growing bush. I still need permission by the land owner.. he does have alfalfa in the rest of the field.
