Ever met one of these guys before? Sometimes they really piss me off.

This is a guy who only buys certain bows because of the name, regardless of whether he is comfortable with it or can shoot it well. He'll always boast that his bow is the best out there having never shot any other brand of bow and consider anyone not shooting the brand he likes to be inferior to him.

This guy I know, his brand is superior to everything else. He would never even consider buying or even shooting anything else!!!

Are these the same people that are always trying to "turn" you onto their brand?

Yeah, it can be pretty annoying.

Yeah, I know someone like that. He even thinks he is the head enforcer of his bow brand Mafia. I will let him remain nameless but will put his tag down below to make the point.

I could care less. I would shoot a bow signed by Mickey Mouse if it felt comfortable. I would shoot arrows created by the Green Lantern if they shot true.

I'd like to see some proof for the "regardless of whether or not he's comfortable with it or can shoot it well" comment. Because personally I've never seen anyone write that they are uncomfortable with a bow, can't shoot it well - yet love it to death and think you should shoot one too. Furthermore, I don't think many of the people from the Internet (regardless of which site) have met very many of their Forum partners. With the exception of us, where about 20-30 people know each other on a personal level. So how would you know their comfort level or accuracy with their bow?

Just because someone is passionate about a brand of product doesn't make their opinions wrong or any less valid than anyone else. More often than not the people who complain the most about the so-called "Fan Boys" are in fact Fan Boys themselves, and are just pissy that someone didn't agree with their opinions.

    Zing! lol

But around here, we don't really have too many fan boys. The ones we do have are fans of the legendary Mathews brand, and are convinced it increases your accuracy 10 fold. But then again, my buddy has a Mathews and probably shoots a 12" group at 20 yards lol

Any Die Hard bow hunter should care less what anyone else shoots, you are a BOW HUNTER not a sales rep. I think every brand has their "FanBoys". Every brand has had problems and every brand makes a bow that anyone of us would shoot. In todays market you better manufacture a high quality bow or your not going to make it. There is just to many good companies producing too many great bows.

I always have and always will shoot the Brand/Model that is best for me, period!

Many years I have several different brands models rigged up for me to shoot for a month or 2 before I make a final decision.

In 2004 I had 2- Hoyts, 1- Mathews, 1- High Country, & 2- BowTechs Of course being a Dealer does make this quest a little easier and not quite so expensive ;)
