As the kids get older it seems like time with everyone together gets few and far between. We were all together over Labor Day weekend and had lots of fun!

It looks like you guys had a great time! Good to see a family going out and enjoying the outdoors together like that. I can't wait till my boys are old enough to go out an do stuff like that.

That's called family. Awesome that yours can prioritize where family is more important than softball, baseball, camp..... and other events with friends.

Split rock is a beautiful area. You'll have to make it up to Ely one of these times :busted:

Do you take 53 from Duluth? We are off of WI 35. We have friends that have a cabin in Hayward...not that far of a drive from us...maybe an hour. We take 35 to M to 53 and over. Maybe we will have to meet up for a beer sometime :)

I love it! I have not been up there since I was a kid. It only takes an hour and a half from our cabin to the lighthouse, I am not sure why it took us so long to make that trip. The kids LOVED it and asking if we can go back in the next couple weeks.

Looks like fun Melissa. Going to the cabin with family is always a good time.

Interesting. I may need a place to stay near Hayward next fall.

Because the fish that we caught were like bait used in the pictures that Vito posts from his fishing expeditions
