Have you ever been sitting in an office chair and lean back and get the feeling you were about to fall on your head? Mine just broke and I think the only thing that kept me from falling straight back was my knees hitting my desk. That is a crazy feeling.
Ice done that in Mt blind hunting turkey and almost shot my decoy Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2
My dad's dinner table has plain looking wooden chairs... but they're not, they have a rocker built in. I love waiting for someone that hasn't been there before to sit down. Just as they sit back, the chair tilts about 5* and the reactions are priceless
LOL... I usually get that feeling in a Treestand... But it's falling forwards... Which is why I won't climb a tree without being harnessed in!
Had the same thing happen to me, minus the knees hitting the desk. set from my electronic carrier pigeon
If you want to experience free fall without being in any real danger, go to universal studios in orlando and get on the new spiderman ride. Craziest 3d effects ride I've ever seen
Done it quite a few times with my 3 legged hunting stool when hiding in the cattails waiting for deer to go by. Lean back and the back leg breaks through and sinks in the mud underneath. As you are going over backwards, you are maddly grabbing for cattails which don't help. You get up and peek around hoping a deer wasn't in hearing range of the crash. I now have 4 legged hunting stools for hunting the sloughs. Much better !! Tim
That's funny right there. A couple years ago I was assisting a (one-time) member of our gun hunting party into his ladder stand which was actually mine and was located within a thick briar area, but you could see over the briars from the 17' stand. He was fearful of heights so left his gun with me on the ground. Once he got up in the stand I whispered to him to drop down his rope. He did not have one. He then asked me to bring it up the ladder stand to him in which I replied I do not think that is a good idea and it wasn't. Even with the ratched strap cinched as tightly as possible the seat portion of the stand slid down the tree and angled sharply to the one side. This guy was FREAKING out in the stand. I helped him down and described another spot where he could sit on the ground only about 50 yards away. The guy never moved and once the sun arose he realized that his visibility was literally about 2-3 feet in from of him. He never moved until we went in for lunch that day! I'm pretty sure his filled his pants also. The next day he shot a buck during the doe season and was not allowed to hunt with us ever again....he did contact the DNR though!
