I'll have to measure tip to tip and greatest spread when I get home. Think I had to enter that as it was a regular whitetail score sheet.
Well, I wouldn't be irate, but I wouldn't be pleased either. As he mentioned, something is better then nothing. Maybe he doesn't want to blow it out of proportion since it's through work/friends?
Maybe but I sure would question it that's for even if it was work and friends but that's just me Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
It was put on by an outside vendor for their customers employees. I know none of the people involved. If it was an entry fee contest or something I would raise all kinds of concerns. Extended deadline to allow the 2nd place entrant to count, wacked out scoring etc. I shot the buck before they ever announced the contest so not too displeased over it. They could have disualified me for not having the hat on in the harvest photo which was a requirement. I'm good with it, free money is free money
I got 14" on the tip to tip and 21" greatest spread. That's 35 still missing 10 if that was included in score
Starting to think the contest was a sham. 3 days from April and still haven't recieved gift card. Emailed the marketing director again today stating they stated they would be mailed out 2 weeks ago and have yet to receive. She had to contact the president of the company to confirm as she sent all the addresses of the winners to him and thought he mailed them out right away. Been excuse after excuse, delay after delay with them. Going to give it until Monday before I send them my true feelings on the way they run things. Hopefully it doesn't cost me my job if it comes to that
I gave up...... I'm writing one last time to voice my displeasure with this contest and its eventual unfolding. It is quite clear, both by the running of it and the length of time since it has ended, that there is no intention of honoring its terms. I'm not sure what sort of marketing ploy was at play, but this was no different than a customer ordering products and failing to pay. We are now entering the 10th week since the "original" deadline, 8th since an unannounced extension, and delay after delay has been the commonplace. No updates nor apologies have been issued beyond a few early on and responses to inquiries have ceased as well. This has been the poorest excuse of a contest I have ever been a part of, I can only hope it was the last. The scoring was that which no other system uses and still have no clue how it was done, there is no way the difference between the first place buck and my buck was a difference of over 50. Every hunting forum I have posted to about this agrees and felt I should have said something about it sooner. I was content with remaining silent about it, as this was all in fun and what I thought was a neat thing for your company to do. Seeing now that it was little more than a sham, I have to speak out. If making your company stand out from the rest was a goal, it was an accomplishment for certain. I just don't believe it was the desired light cast upon it. This is the last time I will be in contact about this, although I may reach out to other entrants and their employers to shed light on this failure. Clinton Staake
It's a tooling vendor my work uses. They held a contest for employees of their customers. Decatur Custom Tooling(DCT)
Wow! I need the scorers to score my 9 point! He POPE & YOUNG OFFICIALLY scored 153 0/8" gross and 143 6/8" P&Y
Mine scored 148 6/8, but they added tip to tip, greatest spread and total points for my score. I have no idea how they came to the winners score.
