I sure hope you get another chance to get back out before season closes. Good Luck!

OK guys, it's almost 60F here right now after a heavy rain, so there's no excuse for me not being in the woods. I'll check my cam again on my way in. Update will follow. :tu:

So right now I am in first place in the buck contest. Not yet locked in, seems only me and my coworker actually submitted scores with our entries.

The deadline is midnight the 31st. Hate to wish bad luck on people but hopefully their heads are tied up at the taxidermist

7 days to go, 1k gift card for Bass Pro would be freaking sweet

Sorry to hear that. I know how frustrating that can be. I saw 5 does tonight behind the house but our season was over on the 13th.

I hear you. I always have trail cam pics of them in Ohio. Unfortunately, I didn't see any this season. I put a Rage Extreme thru on on the first day of Archery the year before. She did'nt make it.

Well guys, I couldn't think of a better way to deal with the depression of another season coming to a close, so it's backstraps tonight! This girl was gorging herself on white oak acorns when she met her unexpected demise. :tu:

Is this from the doe you got back in September or did you shoot another one?

Yes, that WAS some of that September doe. It was delicious! I only applied for one antlerless tag this year because deer numbers are not what they used to be in my hunting area. I had other opportunities this season, but I try not to be gluttonous.

Those steaks look awesome. My season ended on the 15th so I went and pulled my stand off public land. I'll now put out half a dozen trail cameras to see what made it through the year. The best time to scout is now when there are no leaves on the trees, trails are obvious and no people on the land I hunt.

A bit of clarity on my post, after posting I checked the CC recipients and noticed rhat it was only sent to those who work for my employer.

Me and another guy are the only two that killed bucks but 8 of us signed up. There are 7 entries total that uploaded pics, but the email said some had a problem uploading and offered another way to submit.

I originally thought the 8 emails went to only those that entered.

I just wish I could see the others scores, I was honest when I uploaded mine. Hoping everyone else was as well. Going to be close for sure.

It's going to have to be bigger than 95" for me to pull the trigger. We sort of have a management program going. Fingers crossed!

Maybe you will see a 95"+ Cull Buck. There's always a Cull Buck that needs put down. We have 2 or 3 on our property in Ohio. They are 6 and 7 point bucks that are all at least 5 years old. Time to put the Hammer Down on one.

Got on stand around 2:30. Green briars to my SE and hard woods to my NW which runs out to fields. Nothing but a cover crop planted but it's green. Green briars are bedding area and bucks always travel inside edge of briars. South wind so I'm golden if he decides to move along this area. Fingers crossed!
