I Thanks. I never intended it to take so long to get scored. I dropped it off and the taxidermist told me he would have it scored. It took waaay longer than I expected...He is about an hour and a half away with how busy life is right now I never had a chance to drive out there to score it myself.
You got it entered, that's the critical part. I just wanted to see every point possible put on the scorecard, especially with it being such a tight race, would have been gut wrenching without it and one or two more deer put down and falling just short.
I attached the image and put 164 6/8 in the scorecard post. I already had the date and time in there, so I think I should be all set.
Seen that, I bumped it to the end just to bring it to Fitz' attention. Not sure if he manually goes back amd rechecks previous entries needing more info or not. We're good regardless
Tomorrow is my last day of the season and it's going to be a cold one. Wish me luck guys, I'm really gonna need all I can get. Sent from my LG-LS777 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I haven't been back out since last week, but I'll be in my stand this afternoon! Maybe they'll be moving decently with the snow on it's way? Gotta play to win.
That stinks. I have still have bucks on cameras in Ohio but not here at home in PA. Hopefully something changes before your season ends.
I need to pull trail cam cards. Might do an evening sit on Saturday if I head down to my lease. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
No, it did not. We have about an inch of snow right now though. I did some looking around and found that the deer have been eating the multiflora rose. They must have to eat an awful lot of that stuff to be leaving the amount of deer crap that I'm seeing in this area. I never realized what an important food source the rose must be as winter time sets in.
Yea that and Honeysuckle and Greenbriar leaves. You can usually tell as the winter goes on. All of the leaves are eaten off 4 foot and below early. Then they start standing up as the winter goes on and they will eat up to 6 foot plus.
That's the thing, there's nothing left that still has leaves on it. They seem to just be eating the tender ends of the rose bush itself.
That's what they're after here. Privet is still nice and green too. If you have any around, I would hunt near it. Sent from my LG-LS777 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
