I seen a young six yesterday morning around 9am. It's been extremely slow even on trail cams. It's mostly been coyotes on the camera on property 1. Seems to be same as last season. Not much for the deer this time of year over there. Going to sit on the field edge of property 2 this evening to see what shows up. I may take a doe if one gives me an opportunity.

Just got setup and already filmed a doe. Something spooked her back into the thicket but it's still plenty early.

Ended up seeing more does later in the evening. The closest one was at 56yds. This late in the season the deer are jumpy after being hunted for months. I decided to just film until my card filled up. Thinking about going this evening, but I'm not 100% sure yet.

Take every opportunity you can get. When was the last time you had that 8 point on 1 of your trail cams?

He hasn't shown up since mid December, at least on camera. I've had does and a few young bucks, but nothing worth noting. Wind is good for the spot I filmed that busted up 7. I'm really thinking about going for a sit.

Nothing moving yesterday in my area. I'm starting to think that it may be over for the season. Sunday is the last day of the season, but I will be out there this weekend trying to make something happen. I may go for another evening sit at property 2 later to possibly get another doe.

I have until Jan 27th in my WMU (5D). I got this guy on cam yesterday, so there's still hope. There has to be a bigger one out there! I'm hitting the woods in an hour to see what I can see. :tu:

It looks like a decent buck for PA. As cold as it has been over the past 2 weeks, I'm just glad to see that it still has horns. Good Luck!

I hunted that spot this evening and didn't see anything. I have never seen so much deer crap in one area in my life though! And much of it was very fresh.

There must be a pretty good food source there somewhere.

Thanks Aaron. I was hoping to get some snow pics when I put my cams back out. I remove them when the gun hunters start, then I replace them to see what is still around afterwards. Here's another cool snow pic from that morning.

I'm still around guys, hunting and everything else has taken a secondary priority to life in general.

We hung in there until the end, but without jjnowak's buck getting scored we were nothing more than fish in a barrel.

I contacted him on several occassions for updates and all went unanswered. He has been on several times since last contact and that shows the lack of decency to update any of us on his part.

It has been an honor and a pleasure sharing the season(s) with the rest of you. Wish we could regroup next year and give it one last go around.
