Doesn't that get your heart pounding. I love to shoot turkeys with my crossbow. I rarely take a shotgun. His beard is dragging the ground. I'm sure your season has been out too.

We only have a spring season. It's usually mid March through mid May. I've got footage and trail cam pics and video of about a dozen different toms. One trail cam video shows them fighting in the background. Tons of birds around here considering the high numbers of predators.

Nice work on the deer Kern. I have five days off so maybe I'll get in a little late season hunting. :)

Only a little spike that hangs around there this evening. Tomorrow morning I'll be set up for the 8 I've got on trail cam. Hoping he will finally have a date with my broadhead.

Finally got eyes on a decent buck. First time I have ever seen this deer. He's a big busted up 7. I got some footage of him but not much. Maybe he'll cruise by a little closer before dark.

He never came back out where I could see him. I'm guessing the two does that gave him away bedded down on the other side of the ridge. He had no intention of getting too far away from them either. It's tough telling what he was through limbs and a tiny view finder. Both g2s looked to be broken and looked to be a 3.5 year old.

What is he eating? There must be some food source over there.

He certainly did his share of fighting! He needs an attitude adjustment. :tu:

I'm guessing some leftover red oak acorns, green briar, privet, cedar berries, or honey suckle leaves. All of those are across the top of that ridge and the back side of it.

Yeah he's definitely a fighter. I noticed his right brow tine is broken too. Maybe the one that done that to him will show up.

I got out this morning but didn't see anything. Beautiful morning. All four of my cameras have bucks on them but none have a deer two days in a row. :(

Going to check the cam that I put out last Thurs 14th. Whatever deer are still around should be at ease at this point, so I'm hoping to see some antler. I'll share anything of interest later on.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

I went for a couple hours this morning. Didn't see much of anything. Was extremely cold with 20mph winds. Going back in the morning and Wednesday as well. Temps are low and pressure is up. They should be moving good in the morning.
