Heading out again pretty soon. Feeling good about tonight for some reason. This spot looked better than the spot we hunted last night but we just couldn’t hunt it with the wind we had. Tonight we have the wind blowing the right way although it’s blowing a little harder than we’d like. Took some shots with the bow. It’s still deadly. Time to kill... It's raining here and going to until late tomorrow night into Thursday morning. Calling for a SE wind, so Thursday morning I'm planning on a sit at a new stand location. Hoping it will yield success! Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Go in with optimism, pessimism will only let you stop the search too soon. Good luck on the recovery, if you have signal post up here or on the forums. Tons of people willing to help.
Ok fellas. Heading back out now. I’m not sure what to think about the shot. I thought I had it tucked right behind the shoulder. Was a pretty steep angle. White hair on arrow with some matter. The guy that was filming me thought it looked like stomach matter I thought it looked like talo. Blood looked darker but hard to tell because it had froze when we got down. Here we go. Good luck, was it not clear on film? Quartering too? Behind the shoulder and stomach is a pretty good gap
Right at last light. No camera light. Was pretty broadside. Maybe slightly quartering to. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well that was easier than expected. HE didn’t go a hundred yards. Turned out he was a button buck which is a bummer but I’m happy I got meat. Must have been quartering away not quartering to. Entered behind last rib n cam out low far shoulder. Got liver and one lung for sure. I was proud of myself for getting a shot off. Before yesterday I’ve never sat higher than 3 sticks. We were on top of 6 both nights. I don’t do well with heights so that’s a big deal for me. Tonight I stood up, composed myself, and made the shot. Been a long season so far but now we have a little meat in the freezer. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
