Good luck on the recovery. High hits aren't that bad. My buck this year I hit high and a little back after I moved away from the shoulder just before shooting. Went 15yds and dropped same thing as on my 2013 buck.
Thanks everybody. There’s a little bit of weirdness with getting him checked in because the county I hunt is a CWD county. He’s hanging now, and I’ll get pictures soon.
Updated first post, just need and official tally from @jjnowak's buck and we'll be sitting well within striking distance
Had a little scare this morning. Was sitting in my stand (green marker) when the neighbor shot (red dot) this morning. First shot got my attention since it was so close, but the second shot landed at the base of my tree. Heard it whistling until impact in the leaves below me. Is it just me, or should gun hunters below more aware of the surrounding area before squeezing a shots off in the direction of a house? Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Always know your target and what is beyond. Without knowing the makeup and density of the woods and his line of site, hard to say whether he did anything wrong. At least you were elevated and not in a ground blind, risk is even greater
Hopefully @dmax4me can provide that, he has a spreadsheet made up. Pretty busy at work today, I can get to it tonight if it hasn't been determined by then.
His spot is on top of high hardwood ridge that's plenty open enough to see the house. My stand is in the bottom of the holler well below the neighbor. I yelled out when the second shot came close. I could see the guy leave and he wasn't wearing any blaze orange that is required by law. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
My spreadsheet is on my work computer. I won’t be able to update until first thing Monday morning. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
