I’ll be back out again this afternoon and all day tomorrow. I’m hoping to fill my antler tag with one of the two monsters we have on trail cam.
Tomorrow should be a good all day sit. While the pressure is off, it still has me excited to get out there again. Might sit the same stand as yesterday, I'm liking that active scrape for a few more days anway.
Heck yea it is...dad and I will be heading out in the morning highs tomorrow will be like 35 Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
I about had a heart attack, thought another one was put down Yeah, my score may be a touch low. What an awesome buck
Everyone make sure 2 have 2 different pictures with a bow in frame when placing it in scorecard...just thought it would be a good reminder since everyone is dropping them Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Tapatalk
What kind of camera set up you running? I was hoping to do some filming this year but it was snowing constantly. Then when it wasn’t snowing temps were in the teens. Not sure how the camera would do in those conditions. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Canon Vixia HF R800 with a Takstar SGC-598 shotgun microphone attached to a cheap amazon L-bracket. All that on a cheap amazon tree arm. Mainly my vacation camera rig, along with my GoPro hero 4 silver, but it serves its purpose for now in hunting too. I have a couple ideas for upgrades, but this works and I don’t have a need for any of the fancy stuff yet.
Don’t ask what the GoPro is attached to, because I don’t know. My dad bought it 3 years ago and is letting me use it until I get my own small camera mount. Best everything I can afford at 25 working in a warehouse.
This is my setup. I got a canon vixia g30 with a lanc controller. On a fourth arrow camera arm. I plan on adding a shotgun mic and some other things when I get some extra cash. That wedding was rough on the check book! Lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
That's a muddy mount. I use a hawk trail cam mount for mine. I use a Canon Vixia rf600. It's not the best setup either, but it works for my budget. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
That's the hawk mount. I screw it into the tree wherever I want it. The camera arm is just the largest ezhanger with a little arm. It's my mobile setup that doesn't require a lot of gear or time to get ready. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
One of the upgrade options I’m looking at is a g40. I can honestly say, not having the LANC remote is hard.
I like all of it. I’ve been looking for a way to mount an action cam for a second angle. Now I have a couple ideas! Thanks guys. Do you guys have any experience filming in colder temps? I’d imagine it just wreaks havoc on the batteries? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I don’t know how I would do it without a lanc remote honestly. I can do everything I need with my thumb. Turn it on. Zoom and focus and record. It’s great!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I haven’t done it in real cold temps. The lowest I filmed in was 25. My batteries did fine but didn’t see that much that day so I didn’t use it much. I have heard of guys throwing a hot hand packet in the battery compartment to keep them warmer but I haven’t used that Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
