So with that being said, I will have to hopefully shoot a few does in Arkansas this year. I have some good public land spots pretty close to the house. Here is one of the bucks out at my Texas public land spot. Nice main frame 10. Not the biggest rack but he has a nice big body. Hopefully the biggest buck from that bachelor group will show back up! He should be a lot bigger than this one Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Good thing indeed! I went this morning but didn't see anything. It's hard to stay out when I know what's in there. I'm gonna try again this evening, but I won't go hunting there again for a few more weeks after. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
This is my wedding week, I am getting married this next Saturday and then I go on my honeymoon so I will be back in time for some good rut hunting. I hope to get a nice buck down! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Congrats bud! At least you will be so busy and distracted with everything it will be no time until you're back out. On the 12-14th I'll be doing something I haven't done in over 10 years... Going hunting with a rifle. We have a WMA with an early gun hunt that I'm going to with some friends. It will be the first time going out with them carrying a rifle. Figured I would mix it up a bit for once this season. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Made it out this morning, only seen one but it had antlers. Woulda been a 20yd chipshot, but not on the first sit. Probably won't make it out again until Nov. 3rd when I'll have 10 straight days to hunt. If, big if, Halloween weekend looks decent tempwise I may try to get out that Sat. and Sun.
My view for the rest of the day. It's nice today compared to what it has been. Maybe the deer will be up and moving in this nice weather. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Thanks!! I'm looking forward to it! I bet that will be a blast. I love to go hunting with some friends. It just makes the experience even better!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Bam!! Might be enough motivation to get me out there a few more times before November. Awesome start team!!! First Place: Team 15 Second Place: Team 4 Third Place: Team 9
Season has been open since the 16th of September and I've yet to get out. I'm definitely getting the itch. Be in the tree soon enough. Keep it up team! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
A mere 3 points separates us. I might get back out next Sunday, I just don't want to overhunt a smallish property with several other hunters on it as well. I would love to get a doe down before my vacation starts, once the rut hits I find it hard to shoot a doe as it pretty much finishes up my day. 80% of my sightings occur during the AM sits. So many crops are still in, kinda surprised me on my way there this morning. They are harvesting beans before corn which completely befuddles me. I need the corn out pronto lol
If I'm reading the score card right, we're in second place? That's a great start, but we need to maintain out status. Let's get out there guys.
And to expand on this, lets not leave points off the board. 2 different pictures with hunter, deer and bow of choice. Also submit a score breakdown for your antlered entry. Those have always been an issue on teams of the past, either a second photo wasn't taken, bow was left out of the picture or antlers turned into processor or taxidermist before a score was taken. Those are the big 3 that are hard to do over, especially the antlered harvest as only the first counts. Any questions on how to score just ask, several experienced hunters on this team and plenty of resources on and off the forum.
Agree...and shoot some does. If we all take a doe that's 600 points! We do have 12 guys, right? Anyway you get the point.
Lmao! I guess it's funny because I have a southern accent. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
