Here in SE Pa we are supposed to get temps around 90F Sunday and Monday! Since I have meat already in the freezer, I'll wait until we get some reasonable temps before I go after a buck.
Kayaked into one of my spots. Put up a trail cam and a stand. Can't wait to hunt this setup. My body feels like it has been hit by a truck though haha Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I just got back from Wyoming and it was 87 degrees at 9:30 pm! What the heck? I t was 22 degrees at elk camp and 50 when I left the lodge to head south. This is ridiculous; may have to go striper fishing.
I was thinking about going for a sit this evening. This thunderstorm that rolled in thought otherwise. It's still miserable hot in GA, so I'm a little happy it came. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Looks pretty good for my getting out opening morning. At the present, looking like mid 40's for the overnight low Sat. night. Should make for a comfortable sunrise and mid morning exit before the bugs take over. Liking my chances, never have sat an opening morning. My only possible hinderance is other hunters showing up and limiting stand choices.
Lows in the low 50s here Saturday morning. Highs are only supposed to be in the mid to low 70s, so it should be a pretty good day. I may sit all day depending on if the forecast is correct. I did get out this evening for a sit. It was rather warm, but I did get some footage of a little six making rubs and a scrape. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Forecast for our Ohio Farm is 47 Saturday morning with a high of 65, 43 Sunday morning with a high of 69 and the last morning of our 3-day hunt is 45 Monday morning. Definitely good temps for a starting weekend compared to what we are having right now. Dad checked trail cams this past weekend and I still don't have any shooters showing up at 3 different spots. There is one coming in on my Turnip Plot, but I don't what to hunt there until my Dad gets a buck. It's the same buck that's showing up at his blind and it's probably 150 yards away from it.
I'm off tomorrow so I'm going to give it a try in the morning. Maybe something big enough to shoot comes in. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
First day in the woods since getting back from Colorado. Acorns are falling behind me and marsh in front. Going after sika tonight. Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
OK guys, tomorrow afternoon/evening will be my first real effort at killing a buck. I haven't hunted since I killed my doe under the white oaks on the 19th. I hunt an entirely different spot for buck because I don't like killing the bait. I'm pumped!
Today it's breezier than I like, but at least it's going to be cloudy. I hate blue bird sky days for hunting! I'll let you all know what I see this evening, or not.
Saw alot of deer the last few sits ...last night I saw 10 deer in bean field...this morning I saw 5 deer ...3 bucks one buck was a inbetweener border line shooter for me he never offered a great shot so he got lucky..the temps have been in low 40s in the morning and temps drop to about upper 50s right before dark...can calls I feel haven't been working lately..im trying another spot tonight if I get a chance Sent from my SM-G935R4 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Well the buck I haven't had a picture of since July 30th finally showed back up last night. He's a stud for GA. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Went out yesterday morning for opening morning out on Texas public land. I had a doe and two fawns come in and the big doe was broadside for 3 minutes at 47 yards. I elected to pass for a better shot! But I am so glad that I did! My brother ( who was hunting out there with me but a lot closer to the truck) saw the park ranger when he got down and got to the truck. The park ranger said there is a new rule this year that you can't shoot a doe out on CORE land anymore. So I am lucky that I didn't shoot that one. She was so big though Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
