Semi guided. Private land that butts up against public. Guide can assist inside his property but I was on public when I killed this bull. Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app

Great job on the does guys and congrats on the bull Hammer. I killed a 106" buck the night before I went on my elk hunt. Haven't gotten it on the scorecard yet. Hope to kill a doe in the next day or so. My elk hunt was great but I didn't kill an elk. Passed a 5x5 at 24 yards and several cows. Great hunt and lots of miles on the boots. Here's my buck.
K8nda jealous of these early season starts. Supposed to be 90+ the next few days so not so jealous anymore. Congrats!
Awesome, congrats. Think this is the first time being on a team with such a quick start. Season opens here on Oct. 1st. If the weather cools down I may try for an opening morning doe. Haven't had that anxiousness to get out just yet, but you guys having success is changing that.
It's supposed to cool off down here in GA again the last week of September. Maybe it will be cool in IL too. Sent from my N9518 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Well I got skunked in Maryland. I had a chance at a doe be elected to pass because the shot angle was bad and I decided to shoot the doe behind her which was a bigger doe. When I let the lead doe pass she got my wind and blew like crazy. I did have a few bucks on camera though! Little upset that I didn't get one but that's hunting. I had a great time!! It was definitely fun to hunt in September in the mountains! Now back to Texas public land. I'm anxious to get my camera back out there. I had it in Maryland. I want to see how big this guy has gotten! He should have two more months of growth on him! So I am excited to see how big he is now. The only good thing about not shooting a buck in Maryland is that I will hopefully be able to shoot a bigger one for the team score. The team is to the best start I have had on a team. Good job on the success gentlemen! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
It was in the 20's yesterday morning when we got out of the tent. Made it feel like November is just around the corner. Here's a look at where we watched the sun come up.
No Shooter's showing up on my trail cams yet. We do have one on my Dad's. It's a split brow tine buck that has 13 points. I think he has a pretty good chance of getting it, if it stays in the same routine, but the 30th is still along way off.
Off topic for deer hunting but I stopped by the taxidermist shop and took a peek at the bear I killed in Manitoba last year.
