I'm still looking for a real quality made full-capture fall away rest, I've tried several including QAD pro series, Muzzy zero effect, Ripcord, and Mathews Shoot-through/fall away Series, Out of these the muzzy was the quietest,(Don't Capture) but knocked 10FPS off the speed of my arrows which usually are around 270FPS,which I would like to maintain. Ripcord (Noisy) Mathews (Don't Capture) QAD (Noisy), These were all set-up according to the manufacturer (What Gives???) any suggestions or comments you have would be great.

Why do you feel the Ripcord was noisy?

If you don't put felt on the rest or the riser I suppose it would make noise but I can't imagine someone just putting the rest on with out covering those two areas.

felt on the riser is a must. i also use flexible fabric band-aids on the rest itself. just cut a piece of the fabric off and stick it where needed. completely eliminates arrow noise during draw. i keep a box in my bow case at all times because you will have to change them occasionally.

I took a piece of rubber tubing like some of you put on your peeps and moleskinned it to my shelf where my forks were hitting, quietened it right down. I finally turned the forks on my Naptune 4000 upside down for more clearance and it quietened down even more cause they lay down flat on my shelf when I shoot. Definately not total containment but I don't see the need for total containment. If my arrow is in danger of falling off I'm a lot more careful of my movements = more stealthy. Works for me! lp

I shoot the Muzzy zero effect, it seams to be a great rest, other than no capture. But I also got a piece to add to the shelf of my bow to capture the arrow. It holds it good. Any reason that you know why the rest would slow your arrow speed by 10 fps?
