I may get up the road from some of you guys about still shooting a whisker biscuit but I'm ready to make the switch and need some recommendations on a good fall away rest, thanks in advance! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I have one of the first generation TR Revolution. Full containment that drops away. I don't use a bow holder in the stand so I like to have full containment. I heard things that quality went to crap with other generations of the product but the original has worked great for me.
I switched from the WB to a QAD Ultra rest. Haven't has any issues yet other than the felt has to be replaced every once in awhile.
Our company was tasked with doing the CAD design and 3D prototyping of the Magne Drop rest. Take a look . http://www.buckrubarchery.com/magne-drop-arrow-rest
I also made this same switch and I love it i've even been through a few rain showers and still have not had any problems with my rest.
I threw the cheaper QAD Ultra Rest "Hunter" on with the intention of upgrading to the better model and using it for a backup bow. I have yet to have one issue w it. I've hunted and shot quite a bit with it over the last 2 seasons. Great sight for around $50-60 if you are on a budget. If not I'd go with a better model. QAD HDX Ultra Rest is what I have on my bows, although I am very interested in and will most likely be getting a Hamksea Hybrid Hunter Pro on the next bow I get.

Yea bro I def need to just pull the trigger! When I put new threads on my bow I just served in my QAD in a hurry! Are you using the easy adjustment cord clamp it comes with up by the spring on the rest or did you tie it off in a d-loop knot or a knot similar? My only concern that I had is I heard that clip could possibly cause a "twang" sound.
I just used the football clamp on it and backed it up with a knot behind. Just in case. This rest is way quieter over all then the QAD that I had on there. I haven't noticed any twang out of the sting either. It's a little more bulk and weight, but nothing that bothers me.
Limbdriver Pro-V is the best that I've used. Easy to set up. Perfectly timed. Easy to tune. Sent from my VS500 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I have been using QAD HDX's since 2012 and I am a big fan, I like them better them limb driven rests but it's personal preference. I bought the Elite version for my Synergy just because I wanted the brown color not because it needed to be the Elite version.
I switched from the whisker biscuit to the QAD ultra rest. I love it! I was nervous at first because there's so many moving parts that could fail, but I've had zero issues. I've also definitely experienced more consistency in my grouping. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
