Wuts the best fall away rest? I'm kinda liking the ripcord but also lookin at the apache.. which would u use an y?
I use the ripcord and have had no problems with it yet. I can see some flaws in it if your hunting, like its wont stay up if you bring it to full draw and then have let down for some reason. But i have never researched or shot the apache so can't give any feed back on that.
Trophy taker makes a nice one and it is what i use. People on here say the Apache is good as well. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
Schaffer. It's a unique rest that won't let your arrow fall out while stalking or in the stand. When in the locked position you could tip your bow upside down and shake your bow and it won't fall out. A very nice rest in my opinion.
I'm running the original Apache rest and I have absolutely no complaints. It's a great, sturdy rest that is super quiet. It's also easy to install and adjust. Good luck!
QAD ultra-rest, the best in my opinion. I also have a trophy ridge drop zone but the QAD is far superior.
1 Limbdriver pro v, very easy to set up and tune works flawlessly 2 Nap Apache, low price, simple, rugged and quiet it is a bit bulky and heavy tho 3 Qad hunter, low price, very light I like the way it contains the arrow in the raised position I dont think you need the lock down version that is double the price Ive never had a problem with it bouncing
I personally shoot a whisker biscuit rest right now, because I really like the full capture of the arrow that it provides. But im very interested in the NAP Armorrest or the Sissor. They have full capturing of the arrow at at rest and at full draw and then has full clearance of the arrow when fired. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk 2
I use a whisker biscuit too, because it seems like there is less to go wrong with and worry about when it comes time to draw on a deer. Does anyone know anything about the new Centerfire arrow rests? I saw an add for it on Bowhunting Addictions tv show, anyone use one?
My daughter uses the Ripcord Code Red and it works great. Trophy Taker has a line of rests that look like the NAP Apache and I have had good performance from TT in the past. I personnaly don't like the Limb Driver. I think it stays up too long. The Scissor, Centerfire and Revolution are not good designs, in my opinion. They have sloppy lock-up and bounce if you watch them in slo-mo.
I used to have one of the Ripcird rests that can stay up in the locked position. It worked great for a few months, that is until I shot at a decent buck and the rest did not fall. This caused me to miss and be very unhappy, but at least I didn't wound the animal. I sent it in to Ripcord and their customer service was great, they sent me a new rest within 2 weeks. I wasn't comfortable going with them again so I switched to an NAP Apache. I have had this rest for 3 years now and it is still working great, I would highly recommend it. I guess my moral of the story is, don't get one that can lock in the upright position, this is just one more thing that can fail for you.
I went from a whisker biscuit to a QAD Ultra and can't complain at all. The quality, customer service and warranty is pretty good.
