I won the business travel lottery, I am headed up to Fairbanks for work. My work should take 2-1/2 days so I have all day Saturday and until 7:30pm Sunday to explore. I am going to drive to Denali Saturday, anyone been to the area that has other must see things?
I just read online that it is a great place to retire. Would you have time to go fishing or moose site seeing? Either way, what a great opportunity. Take pictures to share!
The drive through Denali is wonderful if it's good weather... Kinda boring on a cloudy/rainy day. This is a great time of year to be fishing up there though. I enjoy hiking so that would be my to do list for Saturday if there is good weather

Got up early made it to Denali, I have always wanted to see Alaska all my life. It is stunning I have been all over the west working fire, Canada too but I have never seen anything as beautiful. Sadly I will not make it fishing and that is a huge regret but the drive to Denali made up for it.
