Thinking of having a local guy do some light work like discing and maybe tear up some new virgin soil for another small plot.

What do you think is fair price for such a job?

    Hourly?

A lot of companies are getting 100/hour to do plot work. Plus the cost of seed, fertilizer, lime.

Yea.........no chance I am paying a guy $1,000+ to scratch up some ground. I've done the work and it's not worth that much. Not even close.

Now if he said he could have our plots completely done in 5-6 hrs then maybe. In a nice tractor that is very doable.

Without seeing it (access and how much land) it hard to give a quote.
