All you gotta do is break up the white (Blur your eyes and look at the break up). You cant tell from that picture, but i am extremely albino. Ive actually been using the cork idea since the end of last season, faster application and clean up.
the other pics are not as bad as the first pic black goes on protruding areas. green goes on shadow areas or lower areas, and you can get funky with your ears/forehead etc. if you get a chance, look for the art of camoflage. you can probably watch it on youtube even. basically, don't overuse black, and don't use black much on the low areas or too much on your forehead. you can use full coverage of green as a base coat, and then add black and brown (or others) going off of that. main goal is to break up outline. the difference in the first pic and the rest are astounding.
Facepaint all the way. Hate having my ears covered and dont want my peripheral vision blocked. I want my natural field of vision. Sight is the number one priority for obvious reasons
Well good, we have someone who thinks there is a "correct way" to put on face paint and someone else who seconds it, and can "vouge" for him. :D None of the deer, elk, moose, antelope or hogs that I've killed gave a rip about whether I did my face paint "right" or not. They didn't check my credentials to see if I took "The Art of Face Painting 101" or to see if the lines on my face looked like antlers or tree branches. Good Grief! Excuse me now, I need to go get some highlighter and blush.
I have been in the woods with other people at them from a distance any exposed skin, face or hands, sticks out like a sore thumb. Your head will look lie a big pumpkin, even at several hundred yards. I always have at the very least a light mask, and gloves, like mosquito net. If its warm and something heavier of its cold. Brandon T. www.cajuntiedowns.com
Was always under the impression that deer were color blind and that all camo did was break up your outline and cover white skin shine. As long as your face paint is of a darker color, does it make a difference? I bought some cheap face paint. Looks like a deoderant stick in 3 colors. Covers well but seems to disappear in short period of time even without heavy sweating. Are some paints better than others? I don't wanna have to remove it with a wire brush, but I would like it to last more than an hour or two.
Face paint all the way! Yes it breaks up your face but its more metal thing than anything for me. Get me pumped up and ready to hunt! And yea there prolly is a "right way" but im with JGD.....the deer dont care so why not fun with it.
