If you do wear a head covering beware of it interfering with your anchor and possible interfering with your trigger. I had one catch my trigger once... not cool.

I'm thinking that in your situation it's more your outline that gave you away. Being skylined is never good. No matter what kind of camo you have your backlighted silhouette is going to bust you, especially when you move to draw.

    Justin,

How long does a container of that Camo FX last? Or approximately how many applications do you get?

I probably used mine 15 times last year and still had some left at the end of the season. Of course it depends on how much you're putting on, but I'd say 15-20 uses wouldn't be out of the question.

I'll be tricked out in the Lost Camo version for this fall. :tu:

They used to make little sticky camo pieces that you stuck to your face. They were like organically shaped camo bandaids. Easy on, easy off... and you could tape your glasses in place with them. :D

Put on some lotion first and they all come off pretty easy with soap and water.

I use a super lightweight mesh cover. Wear it around the neck for the majority of the time.

Ive always covered my face for every deer i've killed. I also have had no covering and had deer look right at me and not be spooked. And these are very pressured deer. I mostly keep my face covered either in paint or a mask.

I think everyone has the face part covered very well, so ill bring up something that gets over looked sometimes. Now im not saying this right or wrong but something to look at. Do you leave your quiver on or take it off when on stand. If a hunter has alot of white on there fletchings or wraps and shoots with quiver on IMO, its like waving a flag saying im here look at me. Its a big area with alot of color and it dont take much movement to get busted. I like mine off for that reason, I use whites and the mobility is so much better with it off. just something to ponder on!

Nope, never taken my quiver off, I always just leave it on the bow. I wouldn't mind hanging it on the tree, but I'm pretty sure I'd knock it off and I'd have to climb down and retrieve it.

My vanes are green and yellow too, so I imagine they just look like leaves.

I dont use any face cover what so ever unless it is blistering cold out there. Then I use the cover for warmth not to hide.

For those of you that use FACE PAINT and complain about the greasy look and the hard to get off oily paint.... you NEED to check out CARBOMASK PAINT!!!!
Ive been using carbomask paint for 2 years now and this chit is awesome!!! It leaves NO sheen and doesnt take all night to wipe off, simply put water on your hands and start wiping and poof... gone! But sit in the stand all day and sweat and this stuff will not run or smeer. Seriously i am in no way affiliated but check this stuff out!

True dat, but a quiver full of white is about the same area as bare face white :p
