I see your point... but too many of these guys get way too much sympathy. They want to tell their story... that's why they do such things. The first rule of discipline is never reward an offender by giving them what they hoped to get from their misbehavior. Of course we don't know what that is... but generally speaking it is publicity for whatever cause they thought was worth blowing people up for.
I don't think Hook is the one with the problem. You don't think law enforcement wants to find out as much information as possible on why/how this happened before the second guy ends up dead? Who knows how many others may have been involved in this act including possibly terrorist organizations? It's pretty hard to get info from a dead guy. Besides, death might be the easy way out at this point for the guy versus what could be in store for him in prison.
I think there are certainly benefits to having the chance to interrogated the piece of crap. However I do hate the thought of what would certainly be a long long expensive trial at the expense of Mr. U.S. taxpayer.
Its all fine and dandy to catch the guy and get info, but idont agree with having a trial for a year or two and then putting him in prison where I as a tax payer haveta pay for him to live out his life. I was to young to remember much about OKC bombing so not sure all the details but I can bet putting him to death made a lot of these idiots that commit these types of crimes rethink it a little. All we do now is stick a camera in their face and keep asking why then 5 or 10 years down the road do it again and again. Which is what some of these people want, meaning the notoriety of the crimes they've committed.
I have a feeling... he isn't planning on being taken alive. I do agree that getting the information from him is probably best. I read a while back that muslim extremists were actively recruiting a lot more non-Arabs. That may be the case here... I guess we need to extract information from the guy if possible... still... there is something to be said for swift justice.
While I want to see the piece of **** rot in hell like the rest of you, killing him now is very short sighted. He just may have information that could save many more lives here. He needs to be taken alive so we can get that information from him. He's only 19 and it probably won't be too hard to get, if he is caught.
I'd like to see him caught alive. We could learn a lot from him. On a slightly different subject - I wonder how they are searching all these homes right now? Does Martial Law allow search without a warrant?
My guess, in this instance, is people are most likely willing to cooperate and allow authorities to search whatever is necessary to find the d-bag. I would be interested to know what the actual legalities around those types of searches would be though, inside of Martial Law.
I live just outside of Watertown, MA. I have friends that live there, this a picture from their window. I guess the SWAT team was outside this house for a while and they were talking over a load speaker. I guess after 40 minutes authorities left. I have so many friends completely locked down. I'm getting away to my cabin up north in the AM to get away from all this for a few days.
Yep. I concur. I could care less of the twisted little world in his head. Make Him disappear and let's get to helping the innocent victims.
