That's exactly my theory and the point I was stressing. Well put Caleb. its a scary thought that the world is rapidly becoming "gossip, information, news junkies"! To many (and a rapidly growing #) are more concerned about whats going on everywhere else and losing touch with their own lives and needs. I just have a feeling its gonna get way worse before it gets better and people start to realize.
5-10 years ago things like this happened all the time at these types of events overseas, Europe in particular. I was in Paris from 2004-2005 and I can think of three times off the top of my head, Indonesian embassy in paris and buses in GB and I believe a soccer stadium somewhere in that general area. What I don't understand is the arrogance of this country that always says it won't ever happen here, how are we different? We're one of the most hated countries in thd world and try to get involved in every little conflict there is so to me its not a surprise things like this happen or if they get worse. Even if it is home grown the way we're headed as a country these things will become more frequent. IIdkjus my .02, and I think what'll make it even worse is if the white house botches this in anyway like they did with more recent attacks toward U.S. if it is foreign. On the same thing though I don't think this is a time to freak out and fall into a country of fear from shootings or bombings or whatever, actual problems need to start being addressed and not feel good solutions that do nothing but give illusion of security. Again jus my .02.
24 hour cable news shows are guilty of that as well. Seems like they sensationalize it so much to justify all the exposure they give it, when in reality it's just filler to give them something to talk about.
Just turned on CNN. Within 5 minutes I heard mentioned 4 times by the host and a so called expert how easy pressure cooker bombs were easy to make. I know they are trying to fill time but...... really??
Could be Corning glass is behind it, they been loosing market share in the cooking sector...and they want it back.
I really think the focus needs to be placed on the victims and their families right now and less on conspiracy theories and political ramifications.
Hope this doesn't come off as rude, but what good will focusing on the victims do? If I were hurt or if my family were hurt, the last thing I would want is news crews coming up to bother me with questions.
What good will come of conjuring fallacies to point the anger in an unfocused direction? I'm just as pissed as everyone else but when then time comes I want the head of the correct person/group/country. Burn them to the ground. Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2
Like it or not something like this transcends the victims and their families. The smoke wasn't clear and you had a media that was carting the water for its ideological agendas advancement on both sides, president that needed to be lambasted for a day before he would call this a terrorist attack. To say there is a lack a of focus is the understatement of the year. For example: http://drudgegae.iavian.net/r?hop=h...e_boston_marathon_bomber_is_a_white_american/
Was just about to type the same thing. Apparently they've arrested a young man based on surveillance footage. Hasn't been named yet. He's due in a court in Boston this evening.
