I understand the role of spine in a compound, I'm being told that its even more important in a recurve. The idea im being told is that basically you tune your recurve using different spine arrows. Ok, someone explain to me in absolute retarded amount of detail how all of that plays together and what i should know for tuning my own bow, as I move up in draw weight, im going to have to tune my arrow/bow combo myself, and I'd like to have the proper info to do so.

Go to the thread "new to Traditional" VA has some of the info you need on that thread, spine charts and such If you understand the role of spine in a compound you shouldn't have a big problem with it.

What poundage are you shooting and what's your draw length?

Im shooting 72lbs@ 30 on my compound. Im probably going to end up shooting 30 @ 29" for right now on this recurve.
